Small Town Beginnings

In the small town of Noble, Oklahoma, sports are essential to the culture of the town. Whether at the professional, local,or state level, sports are key to not only citizens of the community, but especially to the athletes who play on their high school teams. The buzz around the town in school and out of school before a big football game rings loudly on gameday. While many small towns around Oklahoma share a similar sports atmosphere, the Class of 2023 from Noble in particular showed a keen athletic ability from a young age, going undefeated into their middle years. There were many athletes Kraig went to school with daily who had potential to be college players, which assisted in his already existent love for the state's college and professional sports teams. From a young age, whether sitting in the bleachers at the local high school game or watching the Oklahoma City Thunder on the TV in his family's living room, Kraig shared the love of sports with his community. At the beginning of Kraig's sophomore year of high school, he interviewed for and was accepted into Mid-America Technology Center for a program that prepared students for a variety of careers in media. The class was designed to be inclusive of one's own personal style and how it related to a specific niche in the media industry. It was through this class that Kraig earned 6 different awards in videography and marketing at both a state and national level through his two year tenure in the class and also led Kraig to discover his own personal brand in sports media for high school sports in Oklahoma which he called KC Media.

The Mission

Kraig aims to provide affordable sports content for athletes' socials to gain better exposure to potential college landing spots. He specifically targets athletes with less recognition from both their peers and creatives because many of these people find themselves with no outlet to get professional and high quality photography and videography for college recruiters to see. These people (who will most likely receive scholarship for their athletic ability) will continue on to have strong careers and work ethics. Sports challenge you in many ways not only as an athlete, but as a person, and stand on many principles that make for better citizens. Concepts like never giving up, working hard to get to a goal, and working as a team all contribute to the argument that participating in sports does more than just create good athletes. Because of this, KC Media is committed to making content for both athletes other creatives would consider not highly rated or ranked enough and to athletes who are already in the public eye. His portfolio is specifically geared to recognize the vast array of creative inspiration that many different people have for their own personal social channels. From dark to cold feels in the sports media space, Kraig can deliver anything you desire for your own brand. To summarize, Kraig has been trained and awarded by professionals in the industry in the areas of marketing and videography. Through this training, he created a brand geared not only towards the state's most recognized athletes, but also to athletes that slip under the rug of college recruiters that take into account their own personal style. This makes him a perfect candidate for your sports media needs.

2023 tours

At the end of his second year of his program and the start of the 2023 high school football season, Kraig finally got his hands on a camera and started shooting photos for his football team where he could find time between being in the marching band program. This made it difficult to shoot video, but he was able to kickstart the brand into basketball season with his time he spent behind a camera during football season. During the basketball season, he was able to fully commit to the brand and start shooting for programs outside of his hometown of Noble. He worked with big name athletes like Mcdonald's All American Brandon Garrison, but also athletes committed to smaller schools like UCO commit Alexis Martin and WOSC commit Rayden Churchill. Not only did he have the opportunity to shoot content for individual athletes, but he also shot for teams as a whole. He traveled to many cities around Oklahoma including Edmond and Del City to shoot for different athletes and teams around the state. Kraig's coverage of teams expanded all the way from tournaments at the 4A girls and boys basketball playoffs for schools like Kingfisher and Anadarko to Noble's run in the 5A boys basketball playoffs, as well as coverage of the Dental Lodge Classic in Noble held for surrounding schools. When baseball and soccer season started, Kraig was less present because of his busyness with college, but still found time to exapand the brand to sports he was adept to creating content for. During the tour, his account on instagram not only grew the athletes personal social channels, but KC Media grew 170 percent in followers and more in engagements.

The Future

The future for KC Media is bright to say the least. With baseball and soccer season coming to an end and summer kicking off, you can expect to hear very little from KC Media because of summer college classes and the lack of sporting events in the summer. This coming football season, he plans to expand to video and hit an audience that was untapped last season. Kraig invites you to come with him on this journey and hopes to insert a new aspect of creativity, individuality, and professionality into the sports media space.
